CXL’s humble beginnings in the year 2008 as CareerXcell, focused on training and placing unemployed graduates to help reduce unemployment rates in the country and ensure our graduates are better equipped to join the workforce. Over the years, the company’s growth led to establishing the contingent workforce division in 2010 to support the rising demand of the gig economy in Malaysia.
Armed with years of experience in the HR industry and knowledge in statutory compliance, the payroll and HR outsourcing division was formed in 2012 to provide quality, reliable and affordable solutions to Malaysian businesses.
Backed by a team of highly experienced HR professionals, we have placed more than 5,000 candidates, processed over 30,000 payrolls and have a team of more than 1,000 contract and temporary employees that we proudly call the CXL contingent workforce family. These numbers continue to grow as supporting our nation, and its people and businesses continue to take precedence in all that we do.
In the year 2020, CareerXcell begins a new chapter with The Ability Center, Japan. As we celebrate this milestone in our business, we remain committed to providing effective and solution-oriented services. With shared resources and backed by over 30 years of combined experience in Malaysia, our team continuously strives to set the standards to provide innovative solutions that matter to businesses.

The Ability Centre
The Ability Center was established in 1986 in Niihama, Japan, and it continues to be headquartered there. Today, the business has expanded to over 5 locations in Japan. With over 129 in-house employees and more than 1,600 temporary staffing workforce, The Ability Center’s solutions include temporary staffing, recruitment, training, and outsourcing. In its efforts to grow the business overseas, the merge with CareerXcell is the first venture, and the move is a stepping stone into the regions vast demand and offerings for HR solutions.
The Ability Center prides itself as not only supporting their client’s businesses with best-practise HR solutions and good service but also in supporting their employees and ultimately, the betterment of the local community.
